20140502 Myeongdong is changing, leaving my dream
The reason why I choose Korea as the destination this time is quite simple. The tickets are too expensive except to Korea during Golden week (consecutive holidays around May Day in Japan).
For the same reason, I attended a tour this time, though I normally avoid it.
Spending my time in a duty-free shopping center might save me several tens of thousands of yen...
Asiana airline 101，the aircraft was A330-300. The length is 63.69 m.
The seat number was 15A, almost over the primary wing. Although the flight time was only two and a half hours, breakfast was provided.
Incheon airport was build on reclaimed island. The filled ground is surrounded by cracked a sandy shore.
The temperature in Seoul is not so different from that in Tokyo in May. Colder winters and more humid summers are characteristic, compared with Tokyo.
It took about 1 hour from Incheon airport to the city center of Seoul. After the duty-free shopping center, I checked in to the Hotel Shinshin located close to Myeongdong.
It is already night!
I went to Myeongdong (明洞/명동) area which is famous for the most expensive shopping streets.
This is the second visit to Myeongdong. Most part have changed since I visited there in 2006.

I had a seafood pot stew and oyster pancakes at Omonijib (어머니집). It was not so bad even though it looked very famous.
Before I arrived at the hotel, I bought "Dunggulle (Amadokoro, in Japanese)" tea (둥굴레차). It is one of the traditional Korean teas, and tastes nutty like cone tea.
It is now midnight...
